Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large Skilled Nursing Home in the Ithaca, NY area that is seeking a dynamic, licensed Director of Rehabilitation to join their team. The Director will be responsible for the overall administration and operations of the Rehabilitation Department. The facility is noted for being a great place to work and the teams for being highly professional with cooperative working relationships. The successful candidate will have experience in Skilled Nursing Homes and have successfully managed Rehabilitation teams. Salary is dependent on experience and a benefits package is offered.
Responsibilities:
• Day to day operations of the Rehabilitation Department
• Clinical planning of patients
• Hiring, supervising and mentoring of Therapists and team members
• Assist in Budget preparation; manage budgets
• Assuring regulatory compliance of department (DOH, State, Federal)
Requirements:
• At least 4 years as Therapist in a Rehabilitation department
• 2 years’ experience in a Supervisory/Leadership role
• BS or BA degree - Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Pathology program
• Valid professional license in NY
• Knowledgeable of multiple reimbursement systems including Medicare Part A, Medicaid CMI, Medicare Part B, HMO management
• Knowledgeable and up to date on all regulations governing rehabilitation
• Demonstrated skills related to management, planning, budgeting and marketing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Good computer skills
