The Receptionist is Hiring a Remote Business Development Representative

Would you like to grow professionally and have your contributions highly valued in a company that cares about its team and customers? Of course, that is why you are here, right?

About the role

As a business development professional, you will have a mix of inbound and outbound efforts, all with one goal, pass them to the account executives or enterprise team. The Receptionist may be a great fit to take your sales career to the next level as we continue to grow while opening new markets and products. Read on, as there is more to this role than pounding the phones or stressfully trying to hit numbers…

What we’ll expect from you and what you'll be doing:

  • Leveraging your passion for sales, creativity, perseverance, active listening skills, authenticity, product knowledge, and passion for wowing potential customers to qualify leads by determining pain points, location count and implementation timeframe through phone calls, online chats, and emails before passing leads off to the Account Executive team to close the sale.
  • Creating and qualifying market-specific outbound (SQLs) efforts with our product which by design is highly developed for specific industry segments. By directly filling a need specific to those verticals, we have a reason to call not just an “oh by the way” that you may be used to in your past role(s).
  • Qualifying Inbound (MQLs) leads which come to you via phone, chat, email, quote inquiries, and demo requests, along with our interactive product tours.
  • Working closely with the Director of Sales as we launch new initiatives. You will open new markets and opportunities for the company and our sales team.
  • Consistently growing through a combination of your open-mindedness and desire for being coached, your self-driven learning, and your thirst for constant personal and professional improvement.
  • Thriving in our highly collaborative environment in which your master-level organization skills will shine.
  • Passionately sharing your love of technology in general and using technology to work efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrating your alignment with our core values that is the FABRIC of everything we do: Fun, Authentic, Bold, Respectful, Innovative, and Collaborative.
  • In this role, you’ll be more than a number, and we expect you to speak up when you see areas of improvement. A fresh set of eyes allows us only to get better!
  • Laughing daily!

Job Requirements

  • Inbound or outbound sales experience of at least 12 months in a Business Development or Inside Sales role; SaaS experience is preferred but is not required.
  • Ability to spend one week per quarter in our Denver metro office.
  • Reside in CO, TX, NM, OK, or FL.
  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Multi-lingual a plus (Spanish and French)

The Receptionist is doing something very different than other companies. For decades, companies have operated under a model of “Shareholder Supremacy.” Leadership decisions are driven solely by what will grow shareholder value as quickly as possible, even if those decisions aren’t aligned with the needs of the employees. Our company operates under a model of Employee Supremacy, and that means our company leaders focus on what’s best for our employees, not the shareholders. We believe that by doing so, we are creating a more valuable company that gives customers an authentic experience and has dedicated, happy and productive employees.
