We are looking for an Experienced Staff Accountant to perform a variety of accounting tasks. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of a company’s reports and statements for our company. To be successful as a Staff Assistant, you should be effective and efficient utilizing QuickBooks as well as Excel spreadsheets on a daily basis. Multitasking and stress management skills are essential for this position. Ultimately, a Staff Accountant's duties and responsibilities are to ensure that all accounting tasks are executed to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and accurate reports to Rebecca Kay Sapp
• Review financial statements for accuracy and legal compliance
• Enter accounting related information into business logs
• Inspect account books for efficiency and accuracy
• Organize and update financial records
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
• Perform monthly bank settlements
• Prepare documentation for external auditors
• Perform other accounting duties as required
• Maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts
• Preparing journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations and assisting with monthly close processes
• Preparing documentation for the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections
• Maintaining documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits
• Performing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
• Meeting processing and reporting deadlines
• Responding to information requests, reviewing financial statements, and assisting with audits
• Assisting the Disbursement Director as needed

Skills

• Proven work experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Proficiency in QuickBooks
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
• 1 years of accounting experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• Highly detail-oriented
• Professional attitude and appearance
• Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
