Real Property Management of The Triad is Hiring a Painter Near Greensboro, NC
We are looking for a Full-Time skilled painter to paint the interior and exterior of residential buildings. The hours of operation our maintenance department are Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.
Minimum eligibility requirements: • Relevant work experience (2 years preferred). • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, rollers, sprayer, etc.).
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Must have valid driver license with acceptable driving record as well as reliable transportation.
• Must meet all health requirements. • Must pass criminal background check. • Must be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Include, but not limited to standing/walking, repetitive use of hands, climbing, reaching, stooping, kneeling
Responsibilities:
• Routine painting of both the interior of homes and small commercial properties with minor exterior work.
• Performs all painting in accordance with schedule issued by management.
• Apply texture to ceilings and walls using an air texture applicator and hopper.
• Ensures proper protection of unpainted surfaces through the use of drop cloths/tarps, tape and masking and paint shields.
• Responsible for maintaining paint equipment and supplies and maintaining all equipment in as clean and neat a condition as possible.
• Assist other team members with ongoing projects.
• Knowledge of multiple painting methods including brushes, rollers and sprayers.
• Make on-site preparations such as covering fixtures preparing for painting etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc. • Repair walls affected by cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. drywall, gypsum, plaster)
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools as well as apply stains and other finishes
Customer Service: • Responsible for providing excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Take initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priority.
Requirements • High School Diploma/GED Equivalent preferred. • 1-3 years trade experience or formal, apprentice, work related training preferred.
