Job Responsibilities

Reporting to the Director of Technical Services, you will support your assigned plant, driving change management and innovation success from beginning to end in the manufacturing process. Quick question for you - click here You'll be responsible for:

• Linking R&D, Marketing, and Manufacturing needs.
• Making Product Development Process (PDP) readiness a key priority.
• Delivering 100% "right the first time."
• Eliminating the potential for manufacturing site losses when introducing process and product changes.
• Working with the broader Engineering and Operations teams to optimize existing capabilities, standardize processes, and improve processes as needed.

Key deliverables:

• Validate new product and process capability working with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Engineering.
• Develop innovative solutions to support new products, processes, and capabilities.
• Assume subject matter expert status for manufacturing processes (washing, drying, filling, etc.).
• Perform equipment/process capability analysis and testing.
• Partner with Project Engineers to develop CAPEX project specifications and equipment selection based on performed cost analysis and ROI assumptions.
• Work with Project Engineers to validate new equipment performance and delivery of expectations.
• Work with Project Engineers to standardize equipment and processes.
• Work with Operations to optimize equipment capability and performance.
• Work with Quality and Operations teams to develop greater product consistency and quality.
• Build collaborative relationships with business partners.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering. Quick question for you - click here
• Hands-on experience as an engineer in a manufacturing plant, including working with equipment and operators. Experience in CPG manufacturing is preferred.
• Solid project management skills.
• The ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects and priorities.
• Proficiency in Gmail, Google Sheets, Docs, Slides or equivalent.
• Willingness to work in a cold, wet refrigerated environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience in food manufacturing.
• Experience working with CAD drawings.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques.
• The ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate up and down the organization.
• A proven track record of results with a bias for action.
• A passion for learning and a craving to work in a fun culture.
