Position Summary:
RBC Bearings is a well-known international manufacturer and marketer of highly engineered precision plain, roller and ball bearings. Sonic Industries, Inc. is a leading aerospace fastener company. RBC Sonic has an immediate opening for a Facilities Manager. Responsible for directing, managing and coordinating activities in relation to facilities management, including, but not limited to, coordination of construction/repair of all facility structures, manage activities and personnel for equipment maintenance and repair, ensure that facility grounds keeping, and cleaning are performed as required.
Key Position Responsibilities:
· Manages all elements of construction and repair of facility structures and equipment including, managing permitting and code requirements, construction oversight, lay-outs, contracting, quoting of work, reporting progress, etc. and works with project customers to ensure that their requirements are being met.
· Must manage vendors and contractors to ensure that company budgetary expectations, production requirements, safety and environmental standards are adequately met.
· Responsible for maintaining an updated, accurate facility site-plan.
· Manages parking lay-out and works with associated government agencies to ensure that compliance standards are adequately met.
· Manages permitting of company facilities and equipment and ensures that governmental requirements are met.
· Manages personnel in Facilities Department and coordinates activities to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
· Coordinates building/grounds maintenance and repairs.
· Develops, executes, and maintains a preventative maintenance schedule for facility equipment.
· Supports company quality commitments through the timely, efficient and effective implementation of factory equipment repair and upgrade.
· Demonstrates a Safety-First mentality and supports factories in the implementation of safety improvements facility and equipment.
· Ensures that all facilities personnel work in a safe manner and adhere to applicable governmental, company and industry requirements.
· Promotes safety programs, provides training for all maintenance personnel on safety policies and enforces “Lock Out/Tag Out” and other safety procedures.
· Communicates with production supervisors to schedule machine repairs, moves, new installations, preventative maintenance, etc.
· Maintains wastewater treatment and HAZMAT program. Stays updated on federal and state regulations.
· Ensures that facilities projects are managed efficiently and all projects meet applicable maintenance and facilities requirements prior to project sign-off.
· Implements and suggests waste elimination initiatives specifically related to the function and department, such as recycling opportunities and elimination of paper waste.
· Works in a cost-conscience manner and works within company budgetary targets for projects performed.
· Continually seek opportunities to improve our Sonic performance related to maintenance management by establishing objectives and targets, measuring progress, and reporting our results.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
· Minimum 4 yrs. experience in facilities management experience and/or industrial management with emphasis on detailed contract management.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent years of management experience may be substituted.
· Must have CUPA and CERS reporting experience
· Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; uses experience to complement data; understands the work flows and procedures.
· Technical Skills – Understands and has working knowledge of blueprints, technical drawings, projects specifications, etc. ability to handle and plan multiple complex projects at once.
· Oral and written Communication – Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or challenging situations; listens intently to others and seeks clarification; Provides clear and professional responses to inquires regardless of the situation;

Desired Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
· Education and/or Experience – Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
· Working knowledge of relevant building standards, environmental constraints and aerospace standards.
· Knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical equipment maintenance and repairs, and plumbing. Familiarity with techniques, code requirements, regulations and materials related to electrical process.
· Mathematical Skills - Ability to work with complex mathematic & analytical concepts, including but not limited to costing, budgetary planning, ROI, cycle time, efficiency calculations, etc.
ITAR Requirement:
- Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident) or a Foreign Person for whom a license is obtained.

- Employees will participate as required in understanding, implementing and maintaining the Company Quality Policy in accordance with AS-9100C and/or ISO-9001:2008 requirements.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods of time, and to speak or listen. The employee is frequently required to sit and requires eye-hand coordination, repetitive hand movement and manual dexterity use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand for extended periods of time and walk. The employee must occasionally bend, reach to shoulder level and lift, carrying, pushing and/or pulling up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus. Hearing level within normal/average range.
