raSmith is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm comprised of civil engineers, structural engineers, , land surveyors, development managers, landscape architects and ecologists. Our services are focused on our public and private sector client needs in design and construction including land development, site planning and design, structural engineering, municipal engineering, transportation and traffic, surveying, construction services and geographic information systems (GIS). We work on projects nationwide from our eight locations in Wisconsin, Illinois, California and Pennsylvania.

We currently have an opening for a student at our Brookfield, WI office (approximately 10 miles west of downtown Milwaukee). We are looking for students with an interest in gaining practical experience through on-the-job training. Our diverse Human Resources projects include recruiting, training, policy development, OFCCP compliance, file conversion and tracking of employee information. The intern tasks are equally diverse, depending on our current projects.

 Intern - Human Resources - Primary Responsibilities:  

On any given day our co-op students could be working on the following: 

• Scheduling interviews 
• Creating orientation schedules 
• Helping to organize employee files.

Requirements

Intern - Human Resources - Requirements and Qualifications: 

Qualified Students must meet the following requirements:

• Have completed the Sophomore Year of a 4 year Bachelor of Science Program in Human Resources or a related degree at an accredited college or university
• Have technical skills in Microsoft Office
• Able to solve basic problems using good decision-making skills
• Skilled at planning by accurately scoping out length and difficulty of tasks and projects
• Have excellent communication, detail orientation, interpersonal skills, and be a team player
