Rantec is an upper-tier designer and manufacturer of power supplies for the military and aerospace markets. We are an engineering-based company, with expertise in all aspects of power supply design, manufacturing and test.

Position Summary

Perform incoming and final inspection of raw materials, fabricated parts, sub-assemblies, and finished power supplies to assure compliance with contract requirements. Perform expeditious and accurate product requirements verification. May perform visual in-process inspection and/or assist with Automatic Optical Inspection activities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include, but, are not limited to the following:

• Performs receiving and final inspection to assure product compliance with engineering design, purchase order requirements, workmanship quality standards, applicable specifications, and commodity product requirements.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, engineering change orders, assembly and inspection instructions. Performs audits of specific areas, processes and procedures
• Uses standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, and other measuring devices.
• Maintains records of rejected/accepted material.
• Assist Supervisor in maintaining an accurate inventory of material in MRB.
• Final inspection when assigned
• In-Process parylene inspection.
• Maintain a neat and orderly workspace.
• Performs related duties of QA department as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledgeable in electrical and mechanical inspection methodologies, including interpretation of IPC and MIL-STDs.
• One-year related experience or equivalent.
• Trainable in component recognition, identification, and data sheet or drawing requirements.
• Able to use hand measuring tools such as height gages, calipers, pin gages, etc.
• Understands the significant importance of this “gate keeper” role to the overall quality and success of Rantec’s business.
• Possess strong PC skills including MS Word, Excel and Access.
• Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees as well as outside sources.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills to meet demands of fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to make sound decisions based on solid reasoning regarding acceptance/rejection of material.

Salary Range: $17.73 - $23.05 Hourly
