Exciting direct hire opportunity in Salem, NH. Our client is looking for an Electrical Engineer that possesses a good understanding of the component-level design of both analog and digital systems with an emphasis on EMI/RFI design.

responsibilities:
- Analyzes and proposes alternatives and design solutions for difficult technical problems.
- Prepares technical proposals and evaluates results of analytical, experimental or design studies. Implements creative solutions based on these evaluations.
- Defines and analyzes technical requirements for a broad range of engineering tasks of increased complexity.
- Performs the duties of Project Lead, responsible for schedule, budget and quality.
- Provides technical expertise for engineering disciplines and problem resolutions.
- Provides logical solutions to complex engineering and business problems.
- Makes and/or recommends appropriate modifications, (i.e., installs filters, electronic components, shielding, etc.) necessary for the EUT to meet the TEMPEST requirements.
- Plans and organizes the responsibilities for a broad spectrum of assignments when given only an identification of objectives to be obtained.
- Provides technical expertise for engineering systems. Responsibilities include systems level and component level design of both analog and digital systems with emphasis on EMI/RFI design. Works with software engineers, Tempest engineers, and other disciplines during systems integration of prototype or manufactured units. Troubleshoots electrical problems.
- Evaluates operational systems and recommends design modifications to eliminate causes of malfunctions or changes in system requirements.
- Collaborates with project leaders to formulate goals and technical direction of a design project.
- Attends project/engineering design reviews and meetings as required.
- Reviews all appropriate drawings required to support a TEMPEST product design.
- Working knowledge of ORCAD PCB design software.
- Knowledge of filter circuit designs.
