Fidelity Investments Core Brokerage Technology Domain is seeking an expert Software Engineer to join our Production Excellence technology team and work on Trade Processing and Settlement Product area in maintaining and modernizing legacy mainframe applications. The squad member will work on Stability initiatives including scalability, capacity, performance of distributed applications. They will also occasionally perform incident response and participate in technology initiatives.

responsibilities:
The Expertise You Have and the Skills You Bring:
- Bachelors or any equivalent degree with computer science background.
- 8 years of proven experience
- Hands on experience in distributed technology stack - Java, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, Angular and .NET.
- Good DevOps, Monitoring, and cloud computing skills
- Hands-on experience in crafting and developing RESTful Web Services with Java technologies.
- Exposure to messaging or/and streaming frameworks including Kafka,
- MQ, JMS.
- Hands on experience in practicing test automation at different levels of testing (unit, component, integration, and functional tests).
- Knowledge of Linux and shell scripting.
- Ability to fix and work on production issues. Understanding of Splunk and Datadog tools
- Experience building cloud enabled applications and basic knowledge of AWS features and components is added benefit
- Good understanding of server infrastructure and server certificates process
- Experience building and deploying applications using continuous integration pipelines and automated deployment tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy, Concourse
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, PL/SQL is helpful.
- Nice to have programming skills with digital approach, and proficient Mainframe technology components including COBOL, VSAM, CICS and API Services development.
- Ability to partner with users, Architecture and Engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions
- Promote and foster an environment of innovation to deliver solutions to market which help improve scale and efficiency, business growth and investment performance
