The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all site distribution including shipping, receiving, and finished goods (FG) warehouse management, as well as directly managing the personnel within these areas. The position requires an understanding of best inventory management practices within a manufacturing environment as well as the ability to use systems to drive efficiency improvement. 

This manager must be the thought-leader for this area of the factory, seeking to drive continuous improvement in service, quality and cost while also be willing to role model behaviors. This includes a willingness to work alongside their direct reports when required. This position requires someone with the ability to interact effectively with floor personnel as well as senior management, manufacturing/operations, planning, quality and finance. This leader must be able to strengthen communication channels with other departments. This leader is also responsible for the direct management and career development of his/her team, approximately 5-10 staff.

Requirements

• Manage all aspects of Finished Goods materials storage and flow
• Manage all aspects of Shipping & Receiving
• Document departmental policies and procedures
• Manage the receipt and storage of finished goods materials for accuracy; Assist the company with executing the operational needs of Cycle Counting Program to ensure above 98% warehouse inventory accuracy
• Supervise and develop team of material handling, receiving & shipping personnel
• Supervise overall effectiveness and daily accuracy of all operating systems for storage of finished goods and shipping & receiving initiatives
• Manage accuracy of outbound shipments to customers/outside warehouses to help support greater than 98% accuracy fill rate and 95% daily order fill rate
• Manage all carriers, Biweekly meetings with carriers, and carrier programs. Weekly reconciliation of all carrier invoices with Finance
• Collaborate with planning team to assure storage capabilities for peak production scenarios
• Collaborate with purchasing to manage timing of site inbound materials
• Oversee all receipts of incoming materials for vendors
• Work with purchasing to quickly resolve incoming inaccuracies at point of arrival and any US Customs issues
• Oversee timely processing of material handling needs of Military Cell; Assign daily work loads
• Ensure all items are audited/packaged according to specifications set by customer/company
• Work closely with Customer Service and Finance to resolve any open issues regarding OTD orders, tracking/shipping issues, large contract review meetings, US customs issues 
• Ability to perform under limited supervision with considerable latitude for independent action
• Other duties as assigned

 Education and/or Experience

5 years of experience in distribution, logistics or operations management in a high-volume factory and/or manufacturing setting. 

Requires a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in a directly related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

Must have demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to plan, organize, coordinate, direct and control the activities of the assigned organization. 

Knowledge of the practical application of Inventory Management and Distribution practices. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to meet inventory accuracy and customer satisfaction business goals.

Lean Manufacturing and/or ISO Process Management experience a plus

Computer systems experience and aptitude

Other Skills and Abilities

CSI (Cloud Suite Industrial) preferred or similar ERP knowledge 

ISO 9001:2015 QMS knowledge preferred 

Strong process and analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and determine course of action. 

Strong ability to interact collaboratively with team members and clients.
