This position can be remote or on-site in either Madison, WI or Sauk City, WI.

We are seeking a highly motivated Architectural Designer to join our team! Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and communicate design expectations on behalf of clients wants and needs for each project to achieve client satisfaction and holding the project's documentation team accountable for meeting or exceeding those expectations
  • Collaborate directly with Project Manager to maintain design aesthetics, within project budget, and coordinate documentation with internal design team
  • Keep up to date on products on the market; changes, updates, new products on the market - both exterior and interior - for inclusion in future projects for both aesthetic and budgetary purposes
  • Maintain knowledge of building codes as they relate to design intent
  • Able to maneuver through various city/county/town ordinances and establish an understanding of design aesthetics early on to meet local design requirements
  • Responsible for project quality control and conformance with company standards
  • Collaborate directly with Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within the scope of work and within the budget.
  • Communicate with consultants, contractors, sub-consultants, and other disciplines to resolve project details and technical issues as they relate to design intent
  • Creatively analyze and solve problems
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship within the firm

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture or related field
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Revit Proficiency preferred
  • Lumion Rendering ability a plus
  • Pursuit of licensure is a plus
  • Knowledge of the complete design process from initial site walk through final certificate of occupancy to the client.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to coordinate design intent internally between disciplines to avoid inconsistencies during the documentation process.
  • Strengths in oral and graphic presentations a plus.
