Job Title: Entry Level Production Supervisor

Reports To: Production Manager

Location: 5615 W. Fuqua, Houston, TX 77085

Compensation: $50,000 - $60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Position Summary: The Manufacturing Production Supervisor Assistant is an entry-level role for recent graduates or professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional growth and development, working closely with the production manager and experienced supervisors to apply principles of manufacturing and production to optimize production processes and improve efficiency, quality, and safety. The Supervisor Assistant will be responsible for supporting the team of production staff, and in this role, they will have the chance to take ownership of projects and initiatives, develop their leadership and problem-solving skills, and grow into a full-fledged Production Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Support the production team in achieving production targets
• Apply principles of manufacturing and production to optimize production processes and improve efficiency, quality, and safety
• Participate in training and mentoring of production staff
• Work with production manager and experienced supervisors to identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes
• Participate in shift meetings for Safety and Production items
• Understand and comply with safety policies and regulations
• Support the maintenance of a clean and organized work environment
• Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager

Minimum Requirements:

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work in a hands-on, physically demanding role
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Requirements:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Experience with safety compliance and regulations
