What You Will Do:

As an Asset Protection Associate, you will be responsible for detecting, investigating, and resolving internal and external situations and circumstances that could lead to or result in losses to the company. You will be able to Identify and report employee behaviors on a grading scale to upper management while observing customers for fraudulent activity.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor employee selling behaviors, customer engagement, cash wrap and sales floor
• Conducting surveillance: Observes customer’s and contractor’s (CCTV/floor) activities to detect theft, fraud or suspicious activity, collects investigative intelligence related to fraud.
• Maintain detailed and concise surveillance logs, procedure violations, and incident reports.
• Review data and analyze store-level POS exceptions to identify behaviors that contribute to shrink
• Adherence to company policy and procedures
• Maintaining records: Creates and manages records using approved Company methods, proper retention of evidence and disposition of recovered merchandise.
• Follow approved surveillance procedures
• Maintain strict confidentiality and standards of conduct concerning surveillance matters
• Coordinate information with external law enforcement
• Complete paperwork related to store security (investigation reports, arrest reports, emergency situation reports). Maintain appropriate records.

Who You Are:

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 1 year customer service experience in a retail environment
• Understands basic retail concepts: selling, customer service, and loss prevention
• Balanced Temperament – Maintains composure and handle high-stress situations in a calm/effective manner. Handles difficult situations with discretion.
• Must possess the ability to use technology applicable to role, and to access information necessary to complete daily responsibilities
• Must understand, read and follow written instructions and comprehend verbal instructions
• Highly analytical with a good mind for noticing outliers
• Intensity: Proactively find ways to improve the customer experience; show the confidence and courage to do what’s right; take action with energy and urgency
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
