Job Summary:

The Billing Specialist will provide support for client invoicing and other accounting tasks related to expediting the accounts receivable process. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Calculate costs for services 
  • Verify accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors 
  • Create itemized statements, invoices, and other necessary billing documents per requirements of the client 
  • Record amounts due for items purchased or services rendered 
  • Submit billing documents to client per client requirements 
  • Manage and track any unbilled revenue and work with operations to escalate as needed to ensure resolution 
  • Contact clients to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary 
  • Other duties as assigned or required to meet the business needs

Qualifications:


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Basic understanding of clerical and administrative procedures 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to solve problems as they arise 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software 

Required Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent 
  • General office and basic accounting experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years billing experience 

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Business or Accounting degree preferred 
  • Billing experience using multiple job codes, and data assembly from multiple sources
