Description

The VP, Finance, will lead and manage the day-to-day financial activities of the RBS companies and be the lead financial executive for the newly formed Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation (AIOF). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), strong not-for-profit P&L healthcare experience, a history of working collaboratively with a Board of Directors (BOD) and the ability to drive operational financial performance. They must have a proven ability to drive business results using data-based insights and they must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will be accurate, meet all timeframes and be comfortable working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. 

Desired Results

- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements to key stakeholders including management and the Board of Directors (BOD)

- Prepare annual operating and capital budgets and present to leadership and BOD for approval

- Ensure that each organization meets or exceeds all bond and loan covenants

- Lead and mentor finance team to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reporting

- Act as guide and resource for all business line owners

- Implement new processes to improve efficiency of finance team

- Master and maximize accounting software to meet the needs of the organization

- Increase ENCORE values within scope of influence

Vitals for Success

- Create and present financial statements to the Leadership and Board of Directors on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

- Ensure that all organizations meet bond and loan covenants

- Work with external auditors to provide a clean annual audit process

- Develop financial presentations and models tailored for each customer

- Help to create a charitable giving plan and budget based on operational performance

- Create an annual operating and capital budget for approval

- Partner with tax accountants to prepare annual tax forms to meet timely filing requirements

- Create (and amend annually) a 5-year operating projection and strategic plan

- Develop familiarity with market payors, providers, referral sources and patients

- Act as a leader to facilitate growth of other team members

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s in accounting or business and CPA designation is highly desired

Experience

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in not-for-profit healthcare finance including full P&L responsibilities required

- Experience overseeing financial audit process required

- Experience working with revenue recognition models strongly preferred

- Experience reporting to bondholders is a plus

- Prior experience with financial presentations to BOD a plus
