Radian Generation is Hiring a Director of Human Resources Near Charlotte, NC

We are seeking an experienced HR director with outstanding people skills to ensure our human
resources program and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall business
objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  • Plans, leads, develops, coordinates, and implements policies, processes, and training to support the organization’s human resource compliance and strategy needs; includes the creation, editing, and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures
  • Administers human resources programs including, but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes; performance and talent management; productivity,
    recognition and morale; occupational health and safety; training and development
  • Guides management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines; communicating and enforcing organization values
  • Develops and executes best practices for hiring and talent management including background checks, employment verification, etc.; includes identifying, evaluating, and solving hiring
    challenges
  • Supports management by providing data-driven HR advice and counsel
  • Manages employee records and all aspects of the HRIS and ‘playbook’
  • Compiles information about compensation and benefits packages based on market data; makes recommendations to executives
  • Manages the creation of new HR programs, as necessary to support the company growth
  • Facilitates workforce planning with management team in support of business objectives
  • Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to
    maintain compliance, including the Employee Handbook; Ensures compliance training completion
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to
    communicate changes in policy, practice, and resources to upper management; enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of metrics from HR management system
  • Manages staff wellness, performance reviews, and employee satisfaction
  • Manages personnel relations including discipline and terminations per policy
  • Structures benefits packages and facilitates benefits management with benefits broker; coordinates enrollment
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in conferences and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional
    organizations
  • Supports offshore staffing initiatives
  • Performs other duties as required

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proven expertise in solving problems
  • Experience with Bamboo HR
  • Experience with benefits brokers
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Education Required: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in human resources, employee relations or related field
  • Experience Required: 5 years of human resource management experience
    Experience Preferred: Prior human resources director for small to medium-sized firm – 80-100 employees
  • Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses,
    Certifications Preferred: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred
  • Company/Industry Related Knowledge: Familiarity with solar industry a plus
  • Classification: Exempt
