Racker is Hiring a Development Assistant Near Ithaca, NY

Overview

Seeking a diligent and experienced professional to work in the Community Relations and Development Department as the Development Assistant This position will be responsible for high level documentation of donor gifts, developing gift reports, administrative responsibilities and other duties as assigned. The Development Assistant must possess a high level of technological ability and understanding. Strong interpersonal skills are essential in this role, which will be tasked with developing and maintaining strong community relationships. Exceptional organizational skills and time management are required along with a superior attention to detail. This position will help support the Community Relations and Development Department and will report to the Director of Community Relations and Development.

Racker offers a competitive rate of $19-$21/hour. This is an on-site position at our Ithaca location. Responsibilities

  • Gift entry, acknowledgement and reporting
  • Grant reporting
  • Oversee office supply and management of supplies
  • Maintain accurate and timely grant reporting
  • Distribute information internally and externally
  • Contribute to quarterly publication and marketing materials
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Power-Point. Highly knowledgeable in donor database management.
  • Ability to learn varying software, web-based tools, and content management platforms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times, strong follow up and follow through are a must.
