RAB Lighting is growing rapidly and is seeking a Technical Customer Service Representative. The ideal candidate will have experience with lighting, as well as a proven track record of providing an exceptional level of customer service. 

A RAB Technical Customer Service Representative is a critical part of our mission to be the #1 customer-focused company in the industry. This position requires a professional with excellent troubleshooting skills, electrical knowledge and the ability to assist our customers with installation and product questions. Representatives communicate with customers through phone, email and chat in a fun and fast-paced environment.

Primary Responsibilities

You will be responsible for helping customers and sales reps throughout the lighting purchase cycle, from choosing appropriate products to installation and configuration assistance, troubleshooting, and trouble resolution. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Timely fielding of in-bound calls, emails and chats to meet customer expectations in a fast-paced environment
• Follow-up on open tickets to ensure successful resolution
• Use CRM and other systems to track cases
• Create and maintain productive, professional relationships with distributors, reps, colleagues, and customers
• Assist in quoting technical products such as custom poles, parts, and painting
• Provide general electrical and wiring troubleshooting guidance

Skills & Experience

• Undergraduate degree or electrician training program certification preferred
• 3 years experience in the lighting industry (rep agency, manufacturer, distributor or contractor)
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and installation of lighting fixtures
• Familiarity with lighting calculations and illumination requirements
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with computer systems including MS Office, email and CRM systems
• Proactive team player with strong organizational skills
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
