Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Accounts Receivable Specialist, your duties will include but are not limited to:
1. Overseeing the entire invoicing process, from creating invoices to sending them out and following up on payments.
2. Managing customer accounts, including maintaining accurate records of all transactions.
3. Reconciling accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
4. Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Collaborating with the sales team to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
6. Implementing and maintaining financial controls and procedures.
7. Conducting credit checks on new customers and managing credit limits for existing customers.
8. Assisting in the development of strategies to reduce the number of delinquent debtors and improve revenue collection.
9. Providing support to the financial team during audits.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role with a focus on accounts receivable and invoicing.
2. A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
5. Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
8. The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. A customer-focused approach and the ability to build strong relationships with clients.
10. The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
