R&R Human Resources Solutions is Hiring a Director of Sales and Marketing Near Plainfield, IL

Our client, located in the Chicagoland area develops and markets affordable measurement solutions to the agricultural, turf and horticultural markets throughout the world.

The Director of Sales and Marketing will report to the CEO and will be responsible for developing and growing our domestic business.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads and directs all members of the Domestic Sales Team; perpetuate a sales focused culture driven by results by customizing, implementing and tracking individual sales processes for each market segment
  • Improve quality of daily sales activities; phone calls, emails, trade show activities, customer visits
  • Ensure weekly metrics and goals are met
  • Create and execute training plans for the following areas: sales fundamentals, product knowledge, trade show effectiveness and customer visit protocol
  • Oversee marketing team
  • Ensure customer activities and follow up actions are documented accurately and in the correct location within the CRM system
  • Develop, maintain and grow relationships with key industry contacts
  • Support product launches of new products, develop plans to speed product adoption through target customers
  • Understand and respond to trends, markets and products; voice industry needs and gaps internally
  • Develop segment sales goals, annual business plans and monthly action plans
  • Conduct regular reviews of marketing activities and development programs
  • Represent the company at select trade shows or association events
  • Manage the budget for the Domestic Sales Team

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Relevant Industry experience and understanding of key markets preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years successful, results driven sales management experience
  • Thorough understanding of consultative sales cycle
  • Ability to understand complex or technical concepts and communicate them to customers
  • Ability to effectively implement sales and marketing strategies
  • Ability to interface and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally
  • High-energy self-starter as well as collaborative team player
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate cross functionally within company and with customers
  • Demonstrated commitment to building strong business relationships with customers
  • High level of accountability
  • Candidate should possess strong analytical skills, critical thinking skills and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel up to 30% (during non-COVID period)
