A leader in the novel candy space with sales in every developed continent, we are expanding our operations and growing. The ideal candidate has experience with accounts payable, excellent attention to detail and is very organized.

Responsibilities include:

• Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other records, and reviews for accuracy.
• Matches PO’s to receiving and invoice documents.
• Handles vendor inquiries.
• Analyzes vendor accounts and negotiates extended terms with vendors when cash is restricted.
• Prepares accounts payable checks on a weekly basis.
• Prints all accounts payable reports and maintains all accounts payable files.
• Prepares analysis of accounts, as required.
• Assist in monthly and annual closings.
• Communicates with vendors and reconciles vendor statements
• Assists employees, vendors, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services.
• Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and submits to appropriate person for payment approval.
• Researches and processes charge backs, returns, refunds, freight charges, cost of lost or damaged goods, bad checks, and similar items.

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
• Understanding of general bookkeeping processes, specifically in Accounts Payable
• Strong math skills and attention to detail
• Understanding of basic accounting principles
• Ability to handle information confidentially 
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central highly desired
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
• Good communication skills
• Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
