R&P is looking for a Contract Specialist who wants to join our team. We are a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. This postion provides contracting support to the In-Service Aircraft Carriers Program Office as a Contracts Specialist by helping them create, review, and analyze Aircraft Carrier contracts for maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of in-service Aircraft Carriers. The person filling the role would be responsible to support the government contracting COR in pre-award and post-award contracting work. Typical pre-award work includes include drafting solicitations, coordinating requirements and funding documents, conducting market research, and qualifying vendors. Typical work also includes supporting source selection activities including assisting technical and past performance evaluations, and assisting in the preparation of source selection memoranda and decision documents. Typical post-award work includes tracking performance against contract terms and providing status reports on contract progress. The person filling the role will need to apply knowledge of the Federal Government acquisition process to support the customer in the analysis and improvement of acquisition process policy and procedures.
• 5 to 10 years experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARs) and the Defense Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)• 5 to 10 years experience with DOD Acquisition Pathways• Experience with large dollar value and highly complex contracts• Experience with multiple contract types: MAC IDIQ, SA IDIQ, Definitive, OTA/IDV’s (Cost and Fixed Price vehicles), requisite knowledge of funding types to include but not limited to: OMN, OPN, SCN, and RDTE• Secret Clearance required• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification (Preferred; however not required)
