Job Title: Business Analyst Job Requisition: R72059 Job Location: West Chester, Pennsylvania Job Duties: Provide financial analysis, guided modeling, and advisory services to assigned business unit and financial leadership. Perform data analysis to determine final conclusions. Identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency on expense side, as well as ways to maximize return on investment related to business initiatives. Identify and quantify new business unit initiatives for fiscal integrity. Validate the financial assumptions and information which form the basis for strategic business decisions. Identify business opportunities utilizing data modeling. Produce ad hoc business unit performance reports and analytics that provide contextual and actionable information for assigned executives and Finance management. Prepare variance analysis reports, and review and identify issues or variances. Conduct monthly and quarterly review actual to budget and re-forecast for future quarters. Identify trends and factors leading to financial performance — recommend possible solutions/improvements to leadership. Create dashboards for business tracking and performance. Act as steward of the monthly forecast and annual budget process for assigned business unit. Identify process improvement opportunities on business planning by leveraging company experience and knowledge. May telecommute. Job Requirements: Position requires a Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Alternatively, position requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field, and two years of experience in a related occupation. Must include some experience or education in each of the following: 1) P&L Cash Flow Analysis; 2) Forecasting and budgeting; 3) Financial valuation (NPV, IRR, ROI, payback period); 4) Linear Algebra, Calculus, and Mathematical Statistics; 5) Writing SQL query across multiple databases (from Oracle, Teradata, IMB Netezza); 6) Ability to use Tableau to create automating data visualization and joining/blending different data sources; 7) Perform data mining/data cleaning, analytics, and machine learning through SAS, R, Python; 8) Advanced Excel modeling (goal seek, Solver, Macros, VBA); and 9) Simulation, Optimization, and Scenario Analysis.
