The Ramsey Park Hotel, Ramsey, Isle of Man is seeking a responsible candidate for the important job role of Night Porter. The role is Full time working 4 days out of 7 on a 10 hour shift, 4 days on and 3 days off. Working Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Monday nights, guaranteed fixed 40 hours per week on a permanent basis. Rate of pay is 10.50 per hour. Experience in a similar quality hotel is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be given to the right candidate - however, seeing as you will be the first and possibly the last face the guest sees when they enter /leave the hotel - service with a smile and friendly personality is a must as is a responsible attitude for the safety and security of all our guests. This is an extremely responsible job role and as such we are looking for a mature and extremely responsible individual who has a proven track record and must be at least 21 years of age and be a Manx worker who is eligible to work in the IOM without a Work Permit. The Ramsey Park Hotel consists of 60 bedrooms, a 55 cover restaurant and banqueting facilities for up to 220 guests. This demanding role consists of the following: This role involves welcoming our guests in a warm, friendly and helpful manner. To ensure that all requirements are met during our guests stay and exceeding the guests' expectations where necessary. It is the night porter's responsibility to ensure that all the ground floor public areas, front entrance and front terrace is kept clean and tidy along with other cleaning tasks. Check in and out guests and process bills accordingly. To assist guests with their luggage (if required). Be a point of contact for our guests should they have any queries throughout the evening. Responsible for the cleanliness of all public areas in accordance with the cleaning schedules. Serving guests behind the Bar with alcoholic and non alcoholic beverages, stocking up the bar. Setting up for functions and conferences as and when required. Fire Safety checks, keeping guests safe in an evacuation situation and maintaining the security of the hotel at night. Setting up the restaurants for breakfast service, including breakfast buffet areas. The preparation and delivery of 24 hour Room Service as and when required. Completing end of day banking tasks and to complete an automated night audit on our front office systems. Assist in any other activities that may be asked of you. Our Night porters must be genuinely passionate about hospitality and deliver amazing hospitality to our guests. This role carries a great responsibility for the safety and security of all guests staying with us.
