The Farehouse Market is looking for a Busser to join our team!
Chicago’s historic riverside Montgomery Ward catalogue building has a new tenant, the latest in the national landmark’s 111-year tenure. Sterling Bay, one of the city’s most noted developers, plans to open Lombard-based company Quest Food Management Services’ first retail location. The Farehouse Market, slated to open this winter, plans to cater to the tech workers of 600 West Chicago as well as local office denizens and residents.
Position Summary
The Farehouse Market is seeking an efficient Busser, to be positive and friendly team player and provide superior service to our Guests. Our Bussers are a vital part of the team, working to deliver exceptional service. They work with Hosts, Servers, Bartenders and Management to maintain our dining room and surrounding areas, contributing to the Guests’ experience by creating a clean dining atmosphere.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Cascades the vision of The Farehouse Market ensuring the company’s vision, values and founding principles are effectively communicated, understood and practiced.
* Demonstrates commitment to Farehouse vision, values and missions through actions on a daily basis.
* Reports to scheduled shifts on time and in complete uniform.
* Provides Server support by maintaining the ice water, side dishes and any other items as directed at each table.
* Runs food for customers.
* Transports trays from the dining room to the dishwashing area.
* Completes any beginning or closing shift duties.
* Assists in maintaining each service station.
* Prepares dining room for patrons by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of service.
* Maintains table settings by removing finished courses and replenishing utensils as necessary
* Supports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any supplies they may require.
* Maintains a clean and sanitary bussing station.
Job Requirements/Specifications
Education and Experience: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Required:
* High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
* Food Handler Basset
Preferred:
* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Previous experience in the food service industry working in Cofee places or Restaurants.

* Ability to work effectively on a team.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Must be at least 21 years of age based upon state requirements to serve alcohol.
