Trainer: Deliver informal and formal learning solutions in a manner that both engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes. This will be achieved by managing and responding to learner needs and ensuring that the learning is made available in appropriate platforms and delivered in a timely and effective manner

What you’ll do

  • Deliver training using various styles to fit the audience; this includes a combination of lectures, role plays, simulations, technology-delivered training, virtual, e-learning and on the job training.
  • Deliver effective and consistent training by having a deep understanding of the content and utilizing the participant and facilitator materials provided.
  • Provide performance and behavioral coaching and feedback to learners throughout the learning experience while maintaining or enhancing learners’ confidence. Supports all feedback with specific, behavioral examples and recommendations for improving performance while creating opportunities for self-awareness and insight.
  • Establish a learning environment where learners feel safe to try new skills and behaviors, individual differences are respected, and confidentiality is supported. Model behavior that is consistent with the goals of the program.
  • Monitor needs and learning preferences to ensure that training meets learner and course objectives
  • Listen and respond to questions and objections while effectively managing classroom dynamics and time spent on learning topics.
  • Encourage participation and builds learner motivation by providing opportunities for participation and experimentation in the learning process. Value and capitalize on participant diversity to maximize learning.
  • Manage the learning environments including scheduling training sessions and participants, selecting facilities conducive to learning, preparing agenda/learning objectives in advance and presenting and organizing materials and multimedia equipment.
  • Ensure the learning objectives are met by facilitating assessment techniques to check learners’ understanding and to ensure skill and/or knowledge acquisition, on-the-job application, and intended business results.
  • Consult with other trainers to create training strategies, initiatives and materials needed to maintain up to date learning objectives and course contents.
  • Maintain knowledge and skills by assisting with calls during peak business and when class is not in session. All other duties as assigned. 

What you’ll bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent background in Education such as Training Certification; Strong preference for candidate with 2-3 years of demonstrated skills and experience in a classroom or hybrid virtual/classroom setting.
  • Experience developing and delivering training programs in a variety of formats; Strong preference for experience with various training technology and platforms.
  • Demonstrates deep understanding of course content through use of appropriate terminology and relevant business examples. Provides useful information when responding to questions. Assists participants in applying learning to on-the-job training.
  • Ability to determine root cause of problems to facilitate resolution of issue
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation and coaching skills
  • Strong customer service skills 
  • Patience and empathy for a variety of learning styles
  • Ability to take and maintain control of a class of learners, including identifying and managing performance and behavior.
  • Ability to make decisions that are timely and well thought out that achieve results consistent with business goals and organizational culture.
  • Ability to function as a team member with the working group and to interact professionally with other entities both internally and externally.
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed with limited need for day-to-day supervision.
  • Strong administrative/technical skills; Comfort working on a PC using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), IM/video conferencing (Teams & Zoom), and telephones efficiently.
  • Trustworthy and accountable behavior, capable of viewing and maintaining confidential information daily.
