Job summary
Quantix is currently seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join the Order to Cash Team in Louisville reporting into the VP of Finance. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of and hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI and SQL with proven ability to work independently in converting business and functional requirements into complex reports, data visualizations and dashboards. This role will be responsible for analyzing, cleansing, and transforming data from various sources, setting up security roles, and conducting training of end users. This includes providing technical and analytical guidance for Power BI architecture and implementing best practices in application systems development and security. The ideal candidate will partner with the business developing standardized reporting as well as adhoc reporting and tools to streamline workflow and help improve overall business performance management.
Summary of essential job functions
This job includes the following duties and any other as assigned by current manager:
Serve as a valued business partner to the entire organization by developing creative solutions to provide management with actionable insights, answer business critical questions, and fulfill other information needs
Write SQL queries and retrieve data in a highly complex relational database environment.
Design, configure, develop, and debug reports in Power BI
Build, update, and maintain technical documentation for projects
Interact effectively with business partners to understand business requirements and assist in developing project scope, requirements, timeline, and goals
Participate in architecture, technical design, and product implementation discussions
Provide ad-hoc data mining and analysis as requested
Requirements
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field – or demonstrated, equivalent experience
5 years of experience retrieving and providing data analysis using SQL
5 years of experience in data preparation, modeling, and reporting using Microsoft Power BI (familiarity with all environments: Desktop, Services, Paginated, Gateway)
Knowledge of DAX and M languages regarding Power BI formulas and calculations
Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL, Oracle, or Essbase
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
Analytical mindset and advanced problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail with proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external teams
Adaptable, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Highly motivated, proactive, self-starter and works well with minimal supervision
Preferences
Background with business, finance, or supply-chain analytics
Understanding of basic data warehousing concepts
Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate functionality
Data Modeling using R/Python is a plus
