1st shift Maintenance Tech position available:

As an Entry Level Plant Maintenance & Machine Repair Associate, you would be responsible for learning techniques for the proper installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, physical structures, and pipe & electrical systems. Must work with other department’s supervisors, managers, and customers to help achieve the common goal of maximizing production and delivery of quality parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Performs preventative maintenance on machinery per schedule.
• Maintains records of plant and completed maintenance
• Visually inspects and test machinery and equipment.
• Listens for unusual sounds from the machine or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation variations with supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
• Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
• Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
• Lays out, assembles, installs and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
• Installs and repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Sets up and operates machine tool such as lathe, grinder drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts.
• Operates cutting torch or welding equipment.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Understanding of wiring logic.

Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence, Ability to effectively present Information in one-on one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, Subtract, Multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers. Common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, Ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
