Quality Production Services, Inc. (“QPS”) is a privately-held California corporation, founded in 1995, with corporate offices in Rancho Dominguez, California. QPS is a commercial, union subcontractor providing standard and customized metal stud framing, drywall installation and finishing, and related services directly to commercial general contractors, developers, and building owners, and indirectly to architects and designers for both public and private commercial construction projects. Qualifications

The HR Business Partner is significant in impacting the company's performance management and organizational development. 

You will be on the front line working closely with QPS company leadership to provide hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice concerning employee relations, performance management, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training, and more. The best candidate for this role is someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is detail-oriented, and is adaptive.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Project Managers and senior leaders to develop and implement effective HR policies and practices that will support the strategic growth of the business
  • Provide HR expertise in the areas of feedback, performance management, employee relations, development and coaching, and organizational development
  • Offer thought leadership regarding organizational and people-related strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to deliver top business results
  • Develop people strategies and design approaches for diagnosing and enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction
  • Analyze and interpret various employee reports (e.g., compensation, job levels, and attrition) to guide decision-making and provide proactive solutions to the management team.

Requirements

Minimum five years experience in an HR Generalist or HRBP role

Relevant experience building and improving company culture and increasing employee engagement, and expertise in performance management

Superb communication skills, including effective facilitation, listening, and writing

Prior experience working in HRIS System. Paylocity is a plus!

Ability to recruit for critical positions in order to meet the needs of the organization 

Ability to express thoughts in a clear and concise manner

Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

Practical coaching and facilitation skills and the ability to influence colleagues at all levels of the organization

Knowledge of HR programs and practices, including applicable state and federal employment laws and regulations

Proven record of leadership and management ability
