QPS is a commercial, union subcontractor providing standard and customized metal stud framing, drywall installation and finishing, and related services directly to commercial general contractors, developers, and building owners, and indirectly to architects and designers for both public and private commercial construction projects.

Human Resource Generalist
As the Human Resource Generalist, you will be responsible for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department. The duties include:
Comparing HR laws to current policies and procedures.
Drafting templates for HR documents.
Working with other department members to oversee company employees' hiring and onboarding process.
Responsibilities and Daily Functions
Run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department, including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
Create a recruitment plan and calendar according to operational projections
Generate official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, warning letters
Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Requirements
Qualifications
Minimum 3-6 years of progressive HR experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish)
Prior experience working in HRIS System. Paylocity is a plus!
Knowledge of local, state, and federal employment-related legislation
Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Ability to think outside the box and offer innovative solutions
Ability to speak effectively before groups of management and employees
Highly organized and detail-oriented; with excellent time management skills
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
