Our exceptional manufacturing client is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant/Controller to join their team. This is a Direct hire opportunity!

Summary/Objective

The Cost Accountant is responsible for the analysis of accounts of the organization. This role also prepares and works on the planning documents for Budgeting and Forecasting. Cost analysis and preparing counter measurements is the main focus. This role also serves as an internal auditor, ensuring that proper accounting procedures are followed for the organization.

Essential Functions

1. Assures accurate accounting procedures, coding of invoices and correct booking of accounts as well as Cost Center.

2. Focusses on Cost Center Controlling, accounting on correct Cost Centers and Cost Center Reports - including discussion with Cost Center owners.

3. Cost Element Reporting - prepares detailed analysis for accounts.

4. Prepares Budget and Forecast Files.

5. Manages PR Controlling releases in SAP.

6. Prepares adhoc analysis.

7. Assists with monthly financial closing.

8. Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if necessary, takes appropriate actions and measures to rectify quality issues.

9. Maintains a safe and clean work area.

10. Follows all guidelines set forth in our 5S training.

11. Other duties and responsibilities can be assigned based on company needs and skill level

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College or University with emphasis on Accounting.

2. Minimum of 2 years' experience related to analytical financial work.

3. Minimum of 1 year of experience with SAP (FI Module).

4. Proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, Power Point)

Preferred Education and Experience

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience with SAP in general.

2. Good Excel knowledge
