The Robson Companies headquarter office is located in Sun Lakes on Dobson and Riggs Roads. Robson Communities, Inc.’s (“RCI”) business is to provide payroll, accounting, IT, marketing, human resources, 401(k) administration, medical benefit administration and other services to its affiliated companies. The IT department of RCI is looking for a Director of IT.

PURPOSE OF POSITION /SUMMARY

The IT Director oversees the IT department and other technical operations within the Robson Communities, Inc (RCI) and its affiliated companies. The IT Director’s main duties include identifying RCI’s IT needs, adding updates and enhancements to current computer systems and ensuring employees’ technical issues are resolved efficiently. Will analyze complex business needs presented by the user community, determine technical solutions, and implement. Has direct responsibility for managing IT staff to include hiring, training, coaching, counseling, and evaluating performance. Proficient with both on premise as well as cloud applications, infrastructure, data, compute, and security. Will perform other job duties as assigned.

PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Devise, establish and oversee implementation of IT policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by senior management.
  • Analyze the business requirements of all departments/divisions to determine their technology needs.
  • Oversee purchasing efficient and cost effective technological equipment and software
  • Assist in building relationships with vendors and oversee contracts
  • Establish and monitor budget and expenditure
  • Identify needs for upgrades, configurations or new systems and report to senior management findings/analysis.
  • Management of IT staff including but not limited to hiring, training and development, coaching and counseling.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/COMPUTER/TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 8 years in IT industry in a management position.
  • Experience in most current technologies and products used in the industry.
  • BA/BS in computer science or related field or experience.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office 365, Citrix VDI, and Networking (Firewall, Router, Switch)
  • Knowledge in JD Edwards ERP, RingCentral, IT Ticketing System – BMC TrackIT, Virtualization, Document management systems (DocuPhase, Scanman), Insight Hubble, SalesForce, NorthStar ERP, Yardi, UMS CUSI (Utility Billing), and AS400 Mainframe Power9 is a plus.
  • Must be able to travel at times to our various locations through out Arizona and Texas if needed.

  • Ability to handle conflict resolution when faced with adverse situations or difficult personalities
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate and direct people and control resources
  • Ability to advise/coach and handle conflict resolution with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to plan, direct or assign tasks to team to achieve department and organizational goals
