The Video Technician is an hourly non-exempt position
The hourly wage for this position will be $20 to $22, depending on experience
Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits are offered the first day of the month following employment
Ancillary benefits, holiday, and vacation pay eligibility is at 3 months.
Paid Sick time is offered upon hire and allocated based on the quarter in which the start date falls.
Video Technician
Position Summary/Objective: The Video Technician - Video is responsible for the day-to-day activities and the overall operation, maintenance and order fulfilment of video equipment. Manages deliverables of video gear; including but not exhaustive of the following; LED panels, projectors and switches and ensures all quality control & design specifications have been met. This role will have a primary responsibility for video equipment but may be assigned to other disciplines and departments as needed.
Essential Function of the Video Technician: While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
1.Manage warehouse video inventory.
2.Maintain quality control of gear; inspect, test, clean and repair, all equipment as needed.
3.Effectively check-in and out shows/orders and communicate shortages & damaged/missing gear to manager(s), utilizing the company's inventory management system.
4.Complete and submit all required documents according to company policies.
5.Accurately load and unload trucks in a timely and safe manner.
6. Participate in training opportunities, to include advancement of specialized discipline and cross-training.
7. Works to always provide internal/external customers with the best possible solution while maintaining company profitability and safety.
Education and Experience for the Video Technician
1.Ensures all required engineering and safety obligations are executed and met.
2.Knowledge of basic warehouse operations, including standard hand and power tools.
3.Ability to construct LED panels, including processing and signal flow.
4.Knowledge of video signal path and power capabilities.
5.Experience with video related computer software, i.e. powerpoint, playback.
6.Experience managing inventory.
7.Knowledge of the proper way to pack a truck and safely secure the load.
8.Ability to work with minimal supervision and quickly solve problems and issues.
9.Strong organizational skills and ability to work under frequently tight deadlines with accuracy.
10. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of supervisors and communicate openly and clearly with others.
Work Environment of the Video Technician
This job operates in a warehouse and an office environment. This role involves frequent communication with internal employees and external contacts--via phone, email and any other professional means of communication necessary. The person in this role will frequently and routinely work in a warehouse where temperatures can fluctuate from hot to cold. This person in this role will routinely be exposed to loud noises from both machinery and product.
Physical Demands of the Video Technician
The person in this role must be able to both move about the warehouse frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task or the shift of the day. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility individuals. The person in this role must effectively interact with employees, obtain information, attend meetings as needed to complete the essential job duties. The person in this role must have the ability to move up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work of the Video Technician
This is a full time position. Hours of work are typically an 8 hour day with breaks and lunches given per compliance with federal and state laws. This position will be a mixture of warehouse and on-site work. This person in this role will typically work an 8 am to 5 pm schedule, except during high volume periods when evening and weekend work may be required. This position at some times will require overtime. There may be flexible work schedules implemented due to business needs. OT will be paid in accordance with local, state and federal laws.
Travel
This position requires some travel, up to 50%. Travel may be mixed -- local and outside the local area and overnight.
Education and Experience
High School Degree or equivalent is preferred
