Senior Enterprise Architect

Our firm is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect to work with our client project at DHS working on their Network Security Deployment.

Active Secret clearance required

Location

The position will be mostly remote in the Washington, DC area, but there may be client meetings in Arlington, VA that are required.

Background

The Program Architecture considers all aspects of a changing marketplace, evolving technological trends, and changing business needs due to strategy and/or changes in legislation. The Government is currently evolving the program strategy and plans to align it with the agency Enterprise Architecture requirements for Segment Architecture. This role is to provide support to the architecture planning efforts, including activities to support the Application, Business, Data, Security, and Technology Architectures and the associated reference models (Business Reference Model (BRM), Data Reference Model (DRM), Service Reference Model (SRM), Technology Reference Model (TRM), etc.) consistent with DHS EA guidelines.

Skills Required

• Broad experience with multiple technologies across the technology stack
• Experience with system integration, reference models, and system architecture
• Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.
• Ability to view multiple systems and technologies as it relates to overall system architecture and enterprise alignment
• Experience planning and leading major technology assignments.
• Has functioned as a technical expert across multiple project assignments
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Tasks

• Engaging stakeholders through Integrated Project Team meetings and task forces
• Promoting the Architecture programs by communicating goals and objectives, encouraging participation and collaboration; facilitating discussions; coordinating activities; solving problems and issues; and tracking and following up actions
• Assisting with charters, communication plans, meeting agenda and minutes, and status reports related to Architecture discussions and technology considerations
• Developing artifacts on the cohesive system programs and initiatives aligning with the Enterprise Architecture
• Ensuring currency of existing architecture documents; identifying existing architecture components to document/update; collecting information; graphics support; mapping of 10 business services to IT systems support to training information owners; and visualizing architecture models
• Describing and reporting of baseline (As-Is) architectures as defined by the Government and Leads and supporting the Government process
• Executing the plans and processes to develop and document programs’ architectures of IT systems and business services, including capabilities for existing Baseline (As-Is) architectures in production, architectures currently in development, future “To-be” architectures, Conceptual Models, Logical Models, and Physical Models
• Supporting implementations by reviewing and making recommendations on strategies and approaches; assisting projects to conform to the target architecture; providing architecture information and recommendations to implementation teams; facilitating collaboration and coordination among projects; and providing architectural requirements support
• Promoting continuous Architecture improvements
