As a Solution Engineer in a geographically distributed team, you will be responsible for the following:
Demonstrate technical design, engineering and validation skills to improve Portworx products to tackle real customer challenges.
Interface with customers and Product teams to help improve the Portworx products
Providing technical leadership to simplify customer experience.
Combine Technical Design/Engineering/Validating and higher-level customer engagement, fostering product/Services development.
Work within a talented, geographically distributed team to drive customer vision, use case and outcomes.
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent, Master's Degree a plus.
At least 7 - 14 years of experience in public cloud and infrastructure architecture & design of complex distributed systems environments.
Solid understanding of how cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes are transforming the infrastructure landscape and prior experience managing enterprise class software products including databases, messaging platforms, CI/CD products and enterprise class cloud-native services.
A professional background in compute infrastructure, storage infrastructure, and container ecosystems that run on-premise and in the cloud.
Technical expertise with one or more cloud providers, including: AWS, GCP or Azure.
Domain expertise in two or more of the following key areas: Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Managed Kubernetes Services, or Kubernetes data services.
Passion for building quality software and quality systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail
