Pure Storage is seeking a Sr. Program Manager to lead complex, strategic programs for the Digital Experience (DX) business unit. Programs will include product lifecycle management and service development, as well as programs to improve overall business unit efficiency. 

This includes developing and managing schedules, identifying risks, program reporting and maintaining ongoing, proactive communication with stakeholders. 

You will manage and improve existing processes and develop tools to improve operational efficiency. You’ll manage various service releases from conception through maintenance and help deliver on other DX programs. 

You’ll be exercising independent judgment and develop recommendations that translate into a course of action. You will also be challenged with responsibilities including:

• Manage complex projects or programs, develop and manage milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together (both for customer facing products and the supporting internal systems).
• Manage program priorities and activities in a matrixed organization
• Interact with diverse technical and non-technical groups, spanning all organizational levels.
• Embrace open and collaborative culture by seeking and incorporating feedback across roles, often driving toward the consensus needed to drive a project forward. 
• Collaborate with other organizations to develop program management best practices
• Manage and improve existing program management processes, establish governance and implement necessary changes
• Collaborate with DX engineering and product management teams to improve workflow and efficiency.
• Use exceptional communication skills to understand and communicate project strategy and engineering issues and dependencies.
• Identify and solve cross-functional and inter-team issues quickly.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

• Program management experience in a software (or similar) product management organization. Experience in an as-a-service or subscription product management groups is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. This includes the ability to distill complex, information-heavy topics into a concise message or story and to communicate effectively, tell a story and persuade via slide presentation 
• Strong analytical skills. Identify root causes; ability to identify & help resolve competing goals or priorities. 
• The ability to understand technology and effectively help navigate and negotiate between product management and engineering
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
• Ability to manage competing priorities without losing efficiency
• Highly skilled and experienced in generating actionable metrics, reports and dashboards to highlight project health and status
• Must be willing and able to work in an open office, team environment and able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule
• Demonstrated experience with process development, documentation and rollout
• Agile program management experience strongly preferred; experience with Agile transformations desired
• Experience w/ Asana highly strongly preferred
• Experience w/ Smartsheet, Atlassian Confluence & Jira, as well as Google Workspace strongly preferred
