JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective

Provides engineering support for all aspects of Puck Enterprise products to ensure functionality, quality, cost, and schedule by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

  1. Assists with the development of the product design and functionality.
  2. Supports the Engineer with product design within the schedule and budget parameters.
  3. Help with identifying any problems with the implementation or available resources that may affect the schedule or budget and communicate such problems accordingly.
  4. Analyzes the risks of a new design or process and communicates results to project engineers.
  5. Creates and maintains accurate and up to date BOMs and MOMs in ERP system.
  6. Assist with documents changes made to existing equipment, including reason for change and which revisions the change applies to and makes available to sales and service personnel.
  7. Provides support to manufacturing to ensure the product is fabricated and assembled based on the intended functionality of the design.
  8. Supports Engineers with creating, maintaining, and updating CAD models and making them available to production staff.
  9. Interfaces with others in the organization and customers to jointly determine customer needs and solutions.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in high, precarious places and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Work is performed mostly in office settings. Some outdoor work is required in the inspection of various equipment outside or on location at farm sites. Hand-eye coordination is necessary to operate drafting instruments, computers and various pieces of office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and smell.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may occasionally require long hours and weekend work.

Travel

No overnight travel is anticipated for this position. Some occasional local day travel may be necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  1. Advancing towards a degree in engineering or a closely related field and a minimum of four years previous engineering experience; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
