GENERAL SUMMARY:
As a Producer, you work closely with creative, account and project management departments in developing and producing broadcast and web content that brings the creative vision to life while managing costs and adhering to deadlines. Producers are creative partners, responsible for evaluating a project’s feasibility, identifying potential pitfalls and finding unique solutions to any production problem. Producers should also have an in-depth understanding of the television production process, as well as strong knowledge of production partners in the advertising industry. This includes directors, music houses, editors, VFX artists, etc. The ability to manage large-scale projects in conjunction with teams from multiple disciplines is key criteria for this role.
Day to Day:
As a Producer, you are responsible for:
• Managing production jobs including but not limited to broadcast, web content, radio, industrial/web video, social media content, running footage, etc.
• Researching directors, editors, music companies and new media partners to assemble a team that matches the project objectives and creative idea
• Initiating clear communication and interaction with client, creative teams, Idea Management
• Working closely with Business Affairs, Broadcast Traffic, Product and Project Management from onset of job to completion
• Other duties as assigned
As a Producer, you should be:

• A team player that can work well in large cross functional teams
• Able to deliver under extreme deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Familiar with content landscape and trends
• Familiar with content production and workflow
• Detail-oriented, enthusiastic, organized and eager to learn
Experience:
An ideal candidate will have excellent organization, communication and interpersonal abilities and have a minimum of 3 - 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE in an agency (or production) setting.
Candidate experience should include:
• Excellent negotiator, communicator and relationship builder
• Experience working with cost consultants
• Coordination and management of outsourced vendors
• Confidence with creative input and contribution
• Understanding of AICP / AICE bids and guidelines
• Strong knowledge of the SAG commercial agreement. as well as Experience with both celebrity and non-union talent preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Experience working with digital vendors and producing web based content a plus
Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Skills and Abilities: This person must be highly organized, with a charismatic and varied communication style.
