What You’ll Do As a BDR

  • Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold call, email and social strategies

  • Set quality meetings between target buyer personas and our account executives

  • Manage and prioritize work for optimum efficiency and success

  • Communicate general product information to prospects

  • Qualify and respond to inbound inquiries to assess prospects for sales team follow-up

  • Log all activities in Salesloft and Salesforce CRM

  • Research target accounts to prioritize account-based outreach

  • Exceed weekly/monthly goals for scheduled meetings, Opportunities created, and activity

  • Prospect via tools (SalesNav, Zoominfo, Drift, etc)

  • Innately curious; know your buyer, their business, and what Arena means to their success

  • Be fearless & comfortable making phone calls in an open and positive environment

  • Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills, and strong writing skills.

  • Take pride in your work, don’t take yourself too seriously. Rejection is a part of this job. You have thick skin.

  • Communicate clearly & succinctly; use customer’s language to help them understand the value Arena delivers

  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to quickly build trust and rapport with prospects

  • Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales appointments

  • Track-record of success at previous roles with 2 years sales/business development experience

  • Experience with Medical Device sales a plus!

  • Experience with Aerospace & Defense a plus!

  • Bachelor’s degree required

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which may include the background and experience of all applicants, which can cause your compensation to vary. PTC anticipates the Business Development Representative to start at a minimum annual salary of $49,000.00 variable bonus. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or payment of any relocation expenses that might be incurred. Also, every PTC employee also has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder, both through its stock grant programs or its employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase PTC stock at a discount. Depending on your location, you will have the opportunity to participate in PTC’s benefit plans, including medical, dental and vision insurance, Paid Time Off and Sick Leave Policies, Tuition Reimbursement, 401K, flexible spending accounts, life insurance and disability coverage. Note: PTC benefits programs are subject to eligibility requirements.
