Job Description Summary: The Manager of Applications provides day-to-day management and support of applications for all internal/external employees and consultants. Assesses, configures, and troubleshoots software. Communicates highly technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. Recommends software solutions, performs monthly audits, and manages licensing for all existing software including new acquisitions and upgrades. Manages all entitlements for Service Now SAM and HAM Application. May conduct training programs designed to educate an organization’s users about basic and specialized applications. Supports both the Security and Infrastructure Teams in maintaining compliance and assists in managing the Software Asset Management System. The Mgr, Application, End User Services supports adherence to relevant regulatory requirements and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as appropriate. . Job Description: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Primary duties/responsibilities: Responds to application queries via email, ServiceNow, Teams and over the phone. This includes troubleshooting of enterprise applications. Administrate the SAM and HAM Module in ServiceNow. Removeseclaims licenses during the offboarding process. Train and liaise with Global IT Partners on the software deployment process. Liaison with the customer, Security, Infrastructure, and Applications Review Board in assessing all new software for the company. Create a service catalog of software with descriptions. Monitors, plans, and coordinates the distribution of client/server software and service packs. Develop ongoing relationships with software vendors for license procurement. Work with IT Leadership to forecast funding needs. Create, maintain, and update applicable technical documentation and records. Organize and implement software management solution and maintain database of software. Track application/software licensing and software audits. Renew software licenses on a yearly basis. Work with the Desktop Engineering team to implement and upgrade software to the latest version in Ivanti to ensure it can be rolled out via SAM Automation. Assists in developing and creating standard operating processes to continuously improve IT Follows standard operating processes and best practices for all service situations. Keeps clients informed of software outages and statuses; provide and recommend alternative use/workarounds during outages. Responsible for project participation including system upgrades, service improvement initiatives and service requests. Responsible for learning and utilizing new services and products or changes to existing services and products. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES REQUIRED Uses skills as a seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of industry practices and company policies and procedures; resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways. Software Asset Management and CMDB experience Comfortable working within a team, but able to work independently Excellent phone skills Excellent interpersonal skills Customer service oriented Analytical Organized Detail Oriented Document Issues in the ticketing system and other systems Windows Linux MAC OS Virtual Machine MS Office 365 Active Directory LAN and WAN technology *Minimum level of education and years of relevant work experience. Typically requires a minimum of 6 years of related experience. *Special knowledge or skills needed and/or licenses or certificates required. Excellent planning, organization and time management skills including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects. Must be fluent in English. Spanish speaking a plus.
