Psychiatry Wellness Center is Hiring a Psychologist Near Greenacres, FL

Psychiatry Wellness Center in Greenacres, FL is looking for one psychologist to join our growing team. Our ideal candidate is attentive, punctual, and hard-working and has experience with pediatrics. We are looking for someone with experience in managing people, and providing individual psychotherapy to adults, teens, and children, with additional experience in group, family, and couples therapy a plus. Hold a caseload of 6-7 therapy clients, potentially as young as 3, up through late adulthood. 
Responsibilities:
  • The Clinical Psychologist is responsible to be a professional caregiver who provides psychological assessment and treatment in a clinic setting. Our psychologists provide a wide array of mental health services to children and adolescents with all types of emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental issues. 
  • Supervise interns and Psychometrician 
  • Participates in the interviewing of patients and assessing them through mental status as well as reviewing records obtained from other patient care staff.
  • Selects and completes appropriate therapeutic interventions based upon clinical knowledge base and educational background (to include individual, group, family, and experiential-based models).
  • Provides comprehensive psychological and developmental assessment of children and adults, including those with neurodevelopmental differences.
  • Provides individual, family, and group therapies based on the developmental and behavioral health needs of the client.
  • Develops and manages behavioral plans for clients as necessary.
  • Collaborates with other treatment team members regarding patients’ progress through interdisciplinary team meetings, record reviews, and informal discussions.
  • Ensures that medical record documentation protocols are complied with. Ensures that patients’ progress notes are entered into the medical records on a timely basis and in accordance with established organizational procedures.
  • May coordinate services and community resources as needed and assist clients in obtaining them.
  • Participates regularly in staff meetings.
  • Maintains all state licensure requirements. Builds knowledge of current trends and developments in assessment and treatment through the use of appropriate professional literature, medical workshops, and publications. Fulfills continuing education requirements as required by state licensing or the APA.
  • Provides training/supervision to interns as assigned.
  • Participates in education and training programs for patients, families, or community groups.
  • Provides consultation to professionals, hospitals, organizations, schools or agencies outside of this organization
  • Must maintain all other position-specific training as required for licensing.
  • Membership and involvement in local, state, and national professional organizations are encouraged.
  • Assist the President and/or Clinical Director in developing clinical programs for children and families.
  • Model and promote good communication, customer service, and positive representation of the organization to clients, customers, referral sources, and the public.
  • Other responsibilities as requested by the President and/or Clinical Director.
Position Requirements:
  • Good verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual is a plus)
  • Interpersonal relationship skills are necessary in order to relate to a wide variety of internal and external contacts including patients and families, multidisciplinary treatment team members, referral sources, other employees, and a variety of individuals in the social and/or professional sphere of the client.
  • Doctoral degree from an accredited university in Clinical Psychology or related area with coursework related to contemporary behavioral treatment.
  • Candidates should be licensed, in the State of Florida
  • Training and clinical experience in providing mental health services to children and families. Experience working with children with neurodevelopmental differences is preferred.
  • Two years of postgraduate clinical experience.
