Payroll Clerk

PSC Group is now hiring a self-motivated Payroll Clerk to join our corporate office in Baton Rouge, LA! The Payroll Clerk ensures accurate and timely recording of pay records and provides excellent customer service to employees.Work Schedule: Monday - Friday(7:30 AM - 4:30 PM / 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM / 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provides information and answers employee questions about payroll related matters.
• Enters direct deposit and employee tax withholding information.
• Monitors the shared payroll mailbox and distributes information to the appropriate payroll personnel.
• Handles wage garnishments by responding to interrogatories, loading information to the ADP site, and fielding calls from employees and agencies.
• Responds to third party requests for payroll data.
• Coordinates with the HR department to ensure correct employee data.
• Provides administrative assistance to the payroll department.
• Maintains employee confidence and protects payroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.

Job Qualifications:

• Basic to Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Outlook, Excel & Word, is required.
• Excellent customer service, time management & organizational skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines on a consistent basis.
• Maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
• Stable work history with good references from past employers
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
• 1-3 years of payroll experience
