Sterile Processing Technician- Providence Saint John's Health Center
This posting is not for a specific job vacancy. It serves to establish a place for current or future interested applicants to apply for Sterile Processing Technician at Providence Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. We may not have openings for each of these categories today, but the organization offers on-call, part time and full time opportunities for day, evening, night, or variable shifts.
Conducts a variety of complex and detailed tasks to accomplish the effective, safe reprocessing of reusable devices in SPD, Surgery, and other hospital departments. Cleans, disinfects, assembles, inspects, and sterilizes complex, specialty instruments and equipment for surgical use. Operates Sterile Processing and Operating Room equipment. Completes OR and SPD recordkeeping pertaining to sterility assurance and instrument counts.
Required qualification:
- Required within 1 year of hire National Certified Registered Central Service Technician - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association Or
- Required within 1 year of hire National Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician - Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
Preferred qualification:
- Training course in Central Service Technology.
- 2 years Instrumentation/sterilization in an acute hospital.
