Job Summary: As a valued member of the accounting team,the Accounts Payable Supervisor  will provide financial, administrative and clerical support to our accounting department. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will ensure efficiency and accuracy of the accounting department by providing support in the following areas: processing AP invoices, reconciling vendor and credit card statements and responding to vendor inquires.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manages accounting payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handles accounts payable for separate entities and or vendors.
• Receive packing slips and process vendor invoices.
• Prepare bills, invoices for weekly accounts payable runs.
• Reconcile vendor and credit card statements monthly.
• Coordinate with the Purchasing and or Receiving department to verify discrepancies.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payments issues
• Providing excellence in line management and support to the finance team, including development and engagement of employees.
• Being a strong team player, providing financial awareness, business acumen, and leadership across the business.
• Assists with analysis of data and reports.
• Assists with processing of weekly AP runs.
• Performs other duties as assigned in a team environment.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Proven working experience in an Accounts Payable role, or as an Accountant.
• Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations.
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage vendor invoice and paperwork.
• Experience using spreadsheets and accounting software.
• Excellent customer service skills and maintain confidential records.
• Be able to work in a fast-paced work environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration preferred.
• t least 3-4 years accounting experience preferred.
