Job Summary:
The Packaging Engineer will support packaging development and validation activities. This individual is expected to work in a team environment or independently to meet defined objectives based on established timelines and deliver project work in a manner that is consistent with the company’s values.
Job Description:

• Responsibility for preparation of pre-validation and validation documentation such as CCRs, PMRs, protocols and reports for packaging operation.

• Preforms optimization, characterization and validation of packaging operation.

• Assist on special projects and performs additional duties as assigned

• Participate on cross-functional team that address specific problems, facilitate discussion and research, enabling procedures to become more efficient, and to build and enhance interdepartmental relationships.

• New product components design and suitability check, new SAP code creation for packaging Component/Finished product (EB/IC) SAP code View creation, new Specification request with (TDS, SAP Desc., Drawing, ref. Drawings. etc)

• New SAP code creation for packaging Component/Finished product (EB/IC) SAP code View creation, New Exhibit PBR creation based on MFC (Count/Pack wise) New Exhibit BOM creation based on MFC (Count/Pack wise) Packaging Material availability check and reservation creation (location 2010) Stability sample request form along with related docs.

• Other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary

Requirements:

• Must have degree in Packaging Engineering.

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical packaging and technology and regulatory requirements.

• Demonstrated ability to accomplish delivery of projects, meet project milestones, and manage multiple projects.

• Knowledge of packaging materials, components, vendors, equipment, regulations, and technologies and the ability to apply this knowledge to satisfy project goals.

• Technical understanding of pharmaceutical unit operations.

• Proficiency in SAP.

• Good documentation skills.

• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

• Self-motivated, positive attitude, organized and ability to adapt to changing priorities

• Ability to manage teams effectively.

• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skill.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical / biopharmaceutical packaging. Preferably with bottle packaging and blister packaging.
