join our Hospitality Services team.

The Spirit of the Position

The Systems Administrator is responsible for overseeing the technology operations under the direction of the General Manager to ensure 24/7 professional management through the implementation of procedures and preventive maintenance to equipment. As a company devoted to promoting an employee-focused servant leadership culture, the Sr. Developer will support the programs and initiatives originating from our home office and help to support the individual needs of their operational teams throughout their assigned location(s). 

Principal Job Duties

  • Manage IT staff, including scheduling, assignments, payroll processing, coaching, and staff development.
  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the IT group.
  • Maintain system availability by performing system maintenance, monitoring/analysis and performance tuning; troubleshoot system hardware, software, networks and operating systems and system management systems; design and run system load/stress testing; escalate application problems to vendor.
  • Support and lead company initiatives for hardware and technical projects.
  • Provide project management for assigned projects including financial, technical and resource aspects.
  • Provide vision for company strategic initiatives to include new technologies, best practices and cost-effective solutions.
  • Protect data security compliance by utilizing company security policies and best practices.
  • Monitor productivity and quality performance goals ensuring staff meets/exceeds established goals.
  • Monitoring system access controls and evaluating software security; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures, completing back-ups and maintaining documentation.
  • Ensure tasks are aligned with department goals.
  • Manage/Support PARCS IT Environment.
  • Support client and in house data requests on-the-fly, create custom reports, maintain report library.
  • Identify bugs in software and firmware – work with vendors to correct or program work around with IT staff.
  • Work with home office IT to maintain PCI compliance.
  • Research and develop new PARCS functions such as validation systems, bill-backs, flat rates, and new procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair all complex field issues (tier 2/3) that field staff are not able to resolve.
  • Provide client monthly reporting of financials, billing, transaction data, occupancy, and trends.
  • Research new parking/IT technologies to provide accurate information to leadership team.
  • Support client’s hosted IT servers and PARCS environment.
  • Work with Client garage design team to provide IT, system, and equipment expertise on any new garage builds.
  • Develop and maintain a PARCS test environment. Test all PARCS firmware and software version updates for functionality issues prior to implementation into production environment.
  • Work with client project managers to setup and test pilots of new technology such as fixed LPR cameras, Video Intercoms, and occupancy systems.
  • Support and troubleshoot any cellular devices and networks used in field equipment such as Pay-by-Plate machines and fixed LPR camera systems.

Requirements

Education

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 4-5 years’ IT/IS experience.
  • Strong computer skills (MS OS, iOS, Office365).
  • Strong database background (SQL server).
  • Field technician background/experience preferred.
  • Understanding and knowledge of The Ohio State University campus and surrounding layout preferred but not required.

Skills

  • PC/Laptop/Server Hardware and Software Administration and Support.
  • Administration of Virus Protection and Security System.
  • Administration of enterprise applications.
  • Ability to learn new technology and systems quickly.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively in a diverse and ever-changing environment.
  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both IT and operations staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, if necessary.
