Essential Duties and Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

  • Drives the shuttle bus to transport customers to and from the train station.
  • Greets each passenger with a smile and a friendly greeting.
  • Operates the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner and complies with all traffic and safety regulations.
  • Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms.
  • Communicates with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two-way radio system to communicate routes, announcing arrivals and delays, coordinating the pick-up of customers, or handling other vehicle or customer issues that arise.
  • Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions.
  • Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
  • Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
  • Treats all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.

Minimum Job Qualifications:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent.
  • Experience driving shuttle bus or commercial vehicles preferred.
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License with passenger endorsement and a CDL.
  • Minimum of two years licensed driving experience.
  • Must be able to pass DOT physical exam.
  • Ability to operate a passenger shuttle safely and efficiently.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment depending upon customer volume, shift, season, etc.
  • Possess positive and professional attitude with strong communication skills.

*Signing Bonus awarded after 30 days of service

*Must be employed and working to receive the bonus

*Applies to all new employees hired at this location between July 1 and September 30, 2022, and working by September 30, 2022

**The refer-a-friend bonus is awarded after your friend's 30th day of service.

Work Environment: the employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
