PromptCare is seeking a Warehouse Homecare Technician to join our team. The Warehouse Homecare Technician will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day activities within a homecare setting. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver medical supplies, delivery/set-up, and pick-up of medical equipment in accordance with and accrediting body standards. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for performing warehouse activities such as shipping/receiving, cleaning, run testing and repair of equipment, inventory maintenance and pick/pack stock. Reports to: Departmental Lead, Supervisor or Manager
Job Type: Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri and on-call responsibilities
Job Location: Stoughton, MA
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Driver’s License: Clean driving record for 3 years.
- Knowledge of healthcare and/or home medical equipment preferred.
- Good sense of direction and ability to read maps.
- Basic computer skills and phone etiquette.
- Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed on a rotating on-call (off hours) basis.
Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
- Calling all patients to notify them of the expected delivery time.
- Loading and unloading vehicles with all required equipment, medications and supplies into truck in a timely manner before leaving the office.
- Correctly and effectively delivers HME, medications and supplies.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the building and on the truck.
- Completes all paperwork as directed, i.e. CODs, insurance information, signatures, etc.
- Organizes work process in an efficient manner.
- Completes and returns appropriate documentation according to Policies and Procedures in a timely manner.
- Vehicle maintained in compliance with all DOT and FDA regulations.
- Be prepared to load the vehicle and begin daily deliveries by 10:30am.
- Keep all patient care, financial information employee activities confidential, in accordance with company procedure and HIPAA Regulations.
- Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed.
- Other warehouse duties as assigned.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk, lift, open filing cabinets and bend as necessary. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies of a minimum weight of 25 pounds but no more than 35 pounds.
