PromptCare is looking for a Warehouse Homecare Technician to join our team in Stoughton, MA. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday. 

Job Summary

The Warehouse Homecare Technician is responsible for the smooth day-to-day activities within a homecare setting, and in compliance with all State and Federal regulations, responsible for the delivery of medical supplies, delivery/set-up and pick-up of medical equipment in accordance with and accrediting body standards. Some warehouse activities including shipping/receiving, cleaning, run testing and repair of equipment, inventory maintenance and pick/pack stock. 

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Driver’s License: Clean driving record for 3 years.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and/or home medical equipment preferred.
  • Good sense of direction and ability to read maps.
  • Basic computer skills and phone etiquette. 
  • Responds to emergency delivery calls as needed on a rotating on-call (off hours) basis.

 Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Calling all patients to notify them of the expected delivery time. 
  • Loading and unloading vehicles with all required equipment, medications and supplies into truck in a timely manner before leaving the office.
  • Correctly and effectively delivers HME, medications and supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the building and on the truck.
  • Completes all paperwork as directed, i.e. CODs, insurance information, signatures, etc.
  • Organizes work process in an efficient manner.
  • Completes and returns appropriate documentation according to Policies and Procedures in a timely manner.
  • Vehicle maintained in compliance with all DOT and FDA regulations.
  • Be prepared to load the vehicle and begin daily deliveries by 10:30am.
  • Keep all patient care, financial information employee activities confidential, in accordance with company procedure and HIPAA Regulations.
  • Able to work longer than normal hours with little or no notice, as needed.
  • Other warehouse duties as assigned.

Physical Demands 

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, and climbing all day. The ability to see distinctions in colors and shapes is also required. Coordinate fine and gross motor movements and hand/eye movement. Manipulate small equipment and containers, such as syringes, vials, ampules, and medication packages, to administer medications. Coordinate fine and gross motor movements and hand/eye movement. Maintain balance from any position. Negotiate level surfaces, ramps, and stairs. Function with both hands free for performing psychomotor tasks. Maneuver in small areas. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 30 pounds or more.
