We are currently hiring a DevOps Engineer to help grow our company and ensure our mission is achieved!

This role is a work from home position and can be performed remotely anywhere in the continental US or in one of our corporate locations in Utah or Arizona.

YOU ARE: A passionate developer who loves to learn about compute, storage, and application routing infrastructure. You will serve as one of several software engineers specializing in Infrastructure as Code. You want to implement and set direction for how software engineers access compute resources within Progressive Leasing.

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY:

• Identify run-the-business processes that you can fully automate with your team
• Make our Kubernetes platform reliable and easy to use (both on-prem and EKS, using Rancher for cluster management and Argo CD for deployment)
• Partner with application teams as they migrate to containers and/or serverless deployment models
• Automate our AWS infrastructure management (we use Terraform with some CloudFormation)
• Participate in an on-call rotation (project work not assigned during on-call)
• Manage and support our On prem core infrastructure (AD, F5s, Vmware, Windows/linux patching, etc)
• Build tools and processes to help business growth for on prem and cloud technologies.

YOU’LL BRING:

• Experience supporting Kubernetes in a production environment
• Experience in complete hands-off automation using Terraform, CloudFormation, SaltStack, or a similar technology
• Strong Linux fundamentals (or basic knowledge and a strong desire to learn)

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with application performance analysis
• Familiarity with application routing (DNS, load balancing, WAF, API Gateway)
